- This year marks 20 years of SGX Cares Bull Charge fundraising
The SGX Cares Bull Charge annual charity initiative teed off today with its Charity Golf tournament, bringing together corporates to raise S$218,888 in support of underprivileged children and families, persons with disabilities and the elderly.
Close to 150 golfers and guests gathered at Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong course after a three-year hiatus, to mark the return of Charity Golf. It is the first of three events anchoring SGX Cares Bull Charge, Singapore Exchange’s (SGX Group) flagship charity initiative that brings together the financial industry to uplift and empower our communities. Sports enthusiasts can also look forward to our annual SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Futsal which will take place on 30 September 2023 at Kick Off! @ Kovan and the SGX Cares Bull Charge Charity Run which will converge at a new venue, Marina Barrage, on 27 October 2023.
Pol de Win, SGX Cares Bull Charge Organising Chairperson and Head of Global Sales & Origination, SGX Group, said, “This year marks SGX Cares Bull Charge’s 20th anniversary. It is a significant achievement to have raised almost S$48 million to support our communities since 2004. In partnership with the Community Chest, all fundraising proceeds will be channelled to the adopted beneficiaries for 2023: AWWA Ltd., Autism Association (Singapore), Fei Yue Community Services, HCSA Community Services and Shared Services for Charities.
