Mr Liew was Head, Consumer & Commercial Clients (SEA) of ABN AMRO Bank. He led the Qualifying Full Bank (QFB) consumer banking initiative for ABN AMRO in Singapore from October 1999. Before that, he was Head, Group Consumer Services (Singapore and Malaysia) of OCBC Bank.
Mr Liew began his career as a Management Associate in Citibank and has held key positions at the country and regional levels. His assignments with Citibank included a four-year overseas posting as Retail Bank Business Manager in Korea. He was also responsible for Direct Banking strategy which included the development of alternative distribution channels for Citibank across Asia-Pacific.
Mr Liew holds an Honours degree in Social Science from the University of Singapore.
