SETTRADE Introduces “Streaming”, The New Stock-Trading Program Via Your Mobile Phone

Date 06/05/2004

Settrade.com has unveiled the latest stock-trading program for investors’ mobile phones called “Streaming”, which offers “Real-time Streaming” stock updates, aimed at hi-tech investors who always want to be informed of the latest data just like if they were sitting in the trading room.

According to Mr. Kirati Kosicharoen, Settrade.com’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Settrade.com has developed “Streaming” for big-screen, JAVA phones, such as the Nokia Series 60, the Siemens SX1 and the Sony Ericsson P800 and P900, all of which are available in more than 25 models. The “Streaming” stock update has been added to this program, to offer “Real-time” displays and include 3 Bids/3 Offers that does not require users to press the “refresh” button anymore while providing them with the latest ticker information directly from The Stock Exchange of Thailand.

“Investors with big-screen mobile handsets can keep track of stock prices at all times, as long as trading is going on, while monitoring trade movements without having to press the “refresh” button anymore. This allows investors to follow up on changes in stock prices and market conditions whenever they wish”, said Settrade’s VP.

Kirati also added “Investors with mobile phones that are compatible with the “Streaming” program and who have already signed up for an Internet stock trading account with a licensed brokerage firm which supports trading via mobile phones can freely download the program by visiting wap.settrade.com/mobile. Another option is to check out the “Settrade.com” menu for MobileLife or Djuice subscribers. Once the menu is accessed you can then download the “Streaming” program with the version that is compatible with your handset. Users can automatically use the same Login name and Password used for their Internet stock trading to log on to the “Streaming” program. “Streaming” is a Freeware and requires no fee, but investors will have to pay a commission fee of only 0.21% to brokers when trading takes place as well as the download charge to your service provider for WAP/GPRS. This program is compatible with AIS, DTAC and Orange services.”

The 12 Settrade members that offer stock trading via mobile phones are Tisco Securities, DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand), SICCO Securities, BT Securities, KGI Securities (Thailand), National Securities, Kiatnakin Securities, Trinity Securities, UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand), Ayudhya Securities, United Securities and Globlex Securities.
