SET Market Report For April 2026

Date 07/05/2026

SET Index closed April 2026 at 1,493.69 points, gaining 3.15 percent on the month and 18.58 percent from end-2025, in line with the broader regional stock markets. Easing Middle East tensions improved sentiment toward risk assets, while foreign investors’ net selling of Thai shares moderated from the previous month. However, persistently elevated energy prices continued to fuel concerns over a prolonged inflation outlook, limiting the scope for monetary policy easing among major central banks.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy & Finance Officer (CSFO) Soraphol Tulayasathien stated that the Thai economy has demonstrated resilience, underpinned by continued growth in exports, fiscal stability, and strong external financial position. This was reflected in Moody's Ratings upgrading Thailand's credit outlook to "Stable" from "Negative." Meanwhile, the 12-month forward net profit estimates for listed companies were revised modestly upward, led by energy-related sectors.
