SET: LiVE Platform Organizes The 2nd Annual Event “SME Must Survive 2026”, Uniting National Business Experts To Unlock Thai SME Potential

Date 22/08/2026

LiVE Platform, under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group, organized “SME Must Survive 2026: Unlock New Possibilities”, honored by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun as the keynote speaker on "Opportunities and the Path Forward for Thailand's Economy and SMEs". The event brought together leading experts, executives, investors, business gurus, and 22 partner organizations to share knowledge and experience to help SMEs unlock new growth opportunities, drawing over 1,000 SME entrepreneurs, startups, and executives at the SET Building on August 22, 2026.

Prapan Charoenprawatt, President of Market for Alternative Investment (mai) and LiVE Exchange (LiVEx), said that entrepreneurs today face rapid and unpredictable changes, including economic volatility, shifting consumer behavior, and rapidly evolving technology, particularly AI, which has permeated every industry. LiVE Platform has therefore organized the “SME Must Survive 2026” for the second consecutive year, providing a central platform of knowledge, strategies, and tools from seasoned experts to help businesses not only survive, but move forward with confidence, in line with SET’s mission of ‘Empowering Market Participants’ to drive sustainable growth.

LiVE Platform supports the SME and startup ecosystem end-to-end, from capability building through in-depth courses and seminars to connecting entrepreneurs to funding sources, including loans and capital markets, and providing consulting to prepare for growth. LiVE Academy has nurtured 3,609 companies and helped 11 companies successfully raise funds on LiVEx, with one company subsequently up-listing to mai. LiVEx currently has 10 listed companies, with total fundraising of over THB 395 million and total market capitalization of THB 5.37 billion (as of August 21, 2026).

“Thai SMEs must read the game, adapt swiftly, and grow beyond survival, because mere survival is never enough. This year's event delivered 20 seminar topics from 37 speakers, with 66 booths from service providers and business partners, covering everything SMEs need to know: economic and consumer trends, technology, AI adoption, capital management, and access to funding. Consulting sessions with experts and SMEs’ pitching presentations added further opportunities for inspiration and new connections,” said Prapan.
