The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with its partners, has organized the “New Breed Capital Market Financial Professionals” (New Breed CMFP) program for the sixth consecutive year  to develop high-caliber professionals  in financial analysis and investment management for Thailand’s financial industry and capital market. This year drew a record 3,905 applicants from 76 universities nationwide registered, reflecting young people’s growing interest in pursuing careers in finance and investment.

SET President Asadej Kongsiri said the New Breed CMFP program is a vital initiative that equips students and young professionals with practical knowledge in finance and investment, preparing them to become quality personnel for securities firms, listed companies, and related capital market entities. Over the past six years, the program has nurtured 17,112 new professionals for the capital market. This success stems from collaboration among partners across multiple sectors, working together to raise knowledge standards that are  accurate, up-to-date, and on par with international standard, in line with SET’s vision, ‘The Trusted Gateway to Inclusive Opportunities,’ empowering market participants to grow together sustainably.

The  New Breed CMFP 2026 program is a collaboration between SET and leading organizations, including the Association of Securities Companies, the Thai Listed Companies Association, Singha Ventures, Buzzebees Co., Ltd., JSP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Thailand) PCL, Pacrim Education Co., Ltd., and MEP Corporation PCL. After completing the intensive training, 253 qualifying participants received funding to sit the Certified Investment and Securities Analyst (AISA) examination at the Foundation Knowledge level, and  152 were  selected to join the Exclusive Financial Career Camp for in-depth learning and hands-on practice. This year, the program added new content on Agentic AI in Finance to strengthen participants’s ability to apply  AI effectively in financial work.

Camp Participants showcased their potential through case-study analysis competitions across  two financial career tracks:  Track 1: Venture Capitalist, and Track 2: Strategic Corporate Financial Analyst, judged by a   panel of experts from the capital market and business sector.   The winning teams stood out for their financial analysis and investment strategy, and structured approach to solving  business problems. A third track, Track 3: Life skills and Career Readiness, Preparation to enter the working world, has also reinforced the project's success in developing the new generation of quality personnel who will be key contributors to the Thai capital market in the future.
