SET Awards 2020 Grants Best CEO Awards To CBG And AU, Young Rising Star CEO To TKN

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) today announced the SET Awards 2020 winners at a prestigious awards ceremony, in which the Best CEO Award of SET-listed companies was bestowed to Sathien Setthasit, Chief Executive Officer of Carabao Group pcl; and the Best CEO Award of mai-listed firms was presented to   Maetup T. Suwan, Managing Director of After You pcl. In addition, Itthipat Peeradechapan, Chief Executive Officer of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing pcl won this year’s Young Rising Star CEO Award, while Somboon Advance Technology pcl was recognized for the SET Award of Honor for the second consecutive year.

The Best CEO Award of mai-listed companies:   

  • Maetup T. Suwan, Managing Director, After You pcl (AU)

Young Rising Star CEO Award:

  • Itthipat Peeradechapan, Chief Executive Officer, Taokaenoi Food & Marketing pcl (TKN)

There were a total of 24 listed companies winning this year’s excellence awards, consisting of 17 firms on SET, 2 firms on mai, 4 securities firms (including financial advisory company) and 1 asset management company. In addition, based on the consistent excellence in investor relations from 2017 to 2020, Somboon Advance Technology pcl (SAT) was granted the SET Award of Honor.

Santi Viriyarangsarit, Editor-in-Chief of Money & Banking Magazine, the SET Awards co-host and one of the distinguished judges for SET Awards 2020 said, “The SET Awards are regarded as prestigious awards presented to companies with excellence and remarkable performances in various areas. This year in particular, despite severe impact by the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and society, the synergy of cooperation from all relevant parties and the resilience of Thai business sector have remarkably enabled listed firms to maintain their business potential to build sustainable growth.

The Business Excellence Awards category for this year’s SET Awards presentation comprises seven awards: 1) Best Investor Relations Awards, 2) Best Innovative Company Awards, 3) Best Asset Management Company Award, 4) Best Securities Company Awards, 5) Best Company Performance Awards, 6) Best Deal of the Year Awards, and 7) Best CEO Awards and Young Rising Star CEO Award. On top of this, the SET Award of Honor will be presented to firms or individuals with consistency in outstanding performances for at least three consecutive years.

The SET Awards 2020 judging panel consists of Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi, Maruey Phadoongsidhi, Seri Chintanaseri, Santi Viriyarangsarit, Yuth Vorachattarn, Patareeya Benjapolchai, Teeranun Srihong, Pakorn Peetathawatchai, Manpong Senanarong, Krisada Sektrakul, and Amnouy Jiramahapoka as the panel’s secretary.
