The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), in partnership with Money & Banking Magazine, today announced the launch of the SET Awards 2025, featuring two primary categories: Business Excellence and Sustainability Excellence. This year's program introduces the new Digital Wealth Service recognition within the Best Securities Company Awards category and restructures the classification system for the Best Asset Management Company Awards. Listed companies and capital market participants are invited to submit their applications from today until May 2025, with final awards to be presented at a ceremony in October 2025.
SET President Asadej Kongsiri said that the SET Awards 2025 coincide with SET's 50th anniversary celebration which reflects SET’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth based on the concept of "Make it 'Work' for Every Future." This marks the 22nd consecutive year of the SET Awards program jointly organized by SET and Money & Banking Magazine to recognize companies in the capital markets for their distinguished performance in both operational excellence and quality dimensions with the purposes of strengthening the Thai capital market and driving sustainable growth.
"The SET Awards serve as a prestigious benchmark for excellence across Thailand's capital market ecosystem," said Asadej. "For 2025, we are introducing the Best Securities Company Awards - Digital Wealth Service to recognize securities firms excelling in digital platform services amid the increased adoption of digital investment solutions among individual investors. Criteria for the Best Asset Management Company Awards have also been refined to categorize participants based on assets under management (AUM) size, creating a more equitable evaluation framework."
Money & Banking Magazine Editor-in-Chief, Santi Viriyarangsarit who is also the SET Awards’ co-host and one of the distinguished judging panelists noted that the SET Awards have been widely recognized throughout Thailand's capital market. Beyond introducing the new award category, the judging panel has enhanced the Best Investor Relations Awards assessment by incorporating ESG disclosure criteria that are based on the FTSE Russell ESG Scores framework as well as questions addressing fair disclosure practices with a view to elevating corporate governance standards and promoting equitable information access across all investor segments.
The SET Awards are structured into two distinct categories: 1) Business Excellence Awards, which recognize listed companies, top executives, securities companies, asset management firms, financial advisory companies, and real estate investment trusts; and 2) Sustainability Excellence Awards, honoring listed companies with exceptional sustainability achievements. The evaluation process for both categories is managed by Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University (SASIN). Additionally, the program features the prestigious SET Awards of Honor, which distinguish companies and individuals that have consistently maintained exemplary performance in their respective fields for three consecutive years or more.
Submissions of supporting documents for the evaluation process are required for: 1. Business Excellence Awards: the Best Investor Relations Awards, the Best Innovative Company Awards, the Deal of the Year Awards, the Best Securities Company Awards, and the Best Asset Management Company Awards-ESG; and 2. Sustainability Excellence Awards: the Sustainability Awards and the Supply Chain Management Awards. Notably, all other award categories will be evaluated based on public disclosures.
