After a weaker month of August, SIX Swiss Exchange registered a significant increase of turnover and transaction volume in September 2014. Across all segments, turnover compared to the previous month rose by 25.5% to CHF 95'601 million. The segment equities (incl. funds + ETPs) saw an increase of 26.9% (to CHF 71'053 mn), while the segment Bonds CHF even rose by 42.1% (to CHF 15'997). The number of transactions also increased in September, with a plus of 9.0% to a total of 3'108'513.
Since the beginning of the year, turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange amounts to CHF 836'844 million - an increase of 9.1%over the same period in 2013.
