Records tumbled in bunches at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) in hectic trading as September 2005 provided historic highs in monthly and daily volume and open interest. New York’s original futures exchange approached the 4 million-contract mark in total futures and options traded in one month when 3,977,458 contracts changed hands, breaking the old record (by over 100,000 contracts) set in June of this year.
