Securities Industry Association Statement On Chairman Oxley’s Retirement

Marc Lackritz, President of the Securities Industry Association (SIA), today made the following statement upon learning that Ohio Republican Rep. Michael Oxley, House Financial Services Committee Chairman, plans to retire:

“In his six years as Chairman, Congressman Oxley oversaw an industry making dramatic progress in technology and modernization. He had an unshakable commitment to maintaining the pre-eminence of our capital markets and the highest standards for our industry. I will miss his leadership, his friendship and his passion for the Ohio State Buckeyes, which I share.”
