Cherrie Dalao has been appointed by the Securities & Investment Institute (SII) as vice president responsible for business development in Singapore.
She was previously an analyst manager for two years in a business consulting firm in Singapore. Working with government funding bodies, the firm helped small and medium-sized enterprises to expand within and outside the country.
Cherrie is from the Philippines and began her career with the Development Bank of the Philippines, where she worked for 13 years in its corporate and investment banking groups. She held the posts of senior accounts management specialist and chief investment bank specialist. Cherrie has a BSc in commerce and an MBA.
Paul Hedges FSI, SII director and acting head of ASEAN, said: “Cherrie will drive our sales activity across the product range to a wide group of existing and new customer segments. Her background in the financial services industry and analytical skills are key competencies that we look forward to fully utilising to deepen our penetration in the Singapore and surrounding markets.”
Cherrie said she was “very excited” to support the SII’s goal of promoting high professional standards within Singapore’s financial sector.
