Securities And Exchange Commission: Staff Legal Bulletin Regarding Listing Standards Requirements Under The Exchange Act For Security Futures Products

The Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Market Regulation today issued Staff Legal Bulletin No. 15 (Bulletin) offering guidance on how a national securities exchange or national securities association can comply with Section 6(h)(3)(C) of the Exchange Act that specifies the requirements for listing standards for security futures products.

The Bulletin offers staff guidance on how a national securities exchange or national securities association may satisfy Section 6(h)(3)(C) of the Exchange Act. In consultation with staff of the CFTC, the Commission staff has developed sample security futures listing standards that it considers to be comparable to listing standards for options. These sample listing standards are attached as an exhibit to the Bulletin on the SEC web site.
