Second Good Rating For NZX’s Regulatory Operations

The 2007 Securities Commission report on NZX has pronounced the company’s regulatory operations “good” for the second year running.

The report follows the second annual overview by the Commission of NZX’s operations during the 2006 calendar year.

The Commission noted that NZX had reported to it on specific recommendations made in the review of its business in 2005, and has made some further recommendations on which NZX is taking action.

“NZX welcomes this report and the annual review, which is proving to be a sound means of ensuring the transparency of our regulatory operations,” said NZX Head of Market Services Elaine Campbell.

“NZX will report back on any recommendations related to NZX. Where there are recommendations specific to NZX Discipline or the Special Division, which are independent of NZX, these will be addressed directly by their respective chairs,” said Ms Campbell.
