The General Standard is one of Deutsche Börse’s EU Regulated markets, complying with the minimum requirements stated for the Official and Regulated Markets. The General Standard is orientated for companies, seeking both retail and institutional investor contact, and primarily targeting domestic investor and a cost-efficient listing.
The Entry Standard allows small and midsized companies to benefit from a simplified, quick and cost-efficient admission to exchange trading. The Entry Standard is available for all companies seeking efficient trading of their stock with limited formal obligations. It is particularly attractive for both young and established small and medium sized companies. The Entry Standard is intended for qualified investors who can evaluate and accept potential risks. Private Equity and Venture Capital investors can use the Entry Standard as an exit channel.
Deutsche Börse also launched an index covering the General Standard on 2nd May 2006. The General Standard Index includes the 200 most actively traded General Standard stocks, excluding those with a market capitalization exceeding 5 billion Euro. The index is constituted on a quarterly basis, with calculation based on prices from the Xetra electronic trading platform. The General Standard Index will be calculated by Deutsche Börse Market Data & Analystics.
Deutsche Börse’s index portfolio comprises more than 1,900 indices. Deutsche Börse calculates, distributes and markets independent capital market information, including price data and trading statistics, alongside back-office information for banks and financial institutions.
