SEC Confirms Closing On Friday, June 11, 2004, Out Of Respect For Ronald W. Reagan, 40th President

President Bush has announced the closing of government departments and agencies on June 11, 2004, as a mark of respect for Ronald W. Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, who died on Saturday, June 5, 2004.

Like other Federal government offices and independent agencies and consistent with Executive Order 11582, the SEC has confirmed that it will be closed.

The SEC's EDGAR filing system will not accept filings on Friday, June 11, and the SEC's public reference room in Washington, D.C. will not be open that day. For purposes of filing materials with the SEC, June 11, 2004, will be treated as a federal holiday. For example, any filings otherwise required to be made on or before June 11, 2004, will be required to be made on or before June 14, 2004.
