SEC Chairman Christopher Cox Gets Clean Bill Of Health

Date 28/02/2006

One month after surgery to remove a benign thymic tumor, doctors have given Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox a "clean bill of health," he reported today.

Following a thorough examination at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where the surgery was performed by Dr. David Sugarbaker on January 30, it was determined that no follow up treatment would be necessary.

Dr. Sugarbaker, chief of thoracic surgery at Brigham & Women's hospital, described Chairman Cox's recovery from surgery as "excellent."

Chairman Cox returned to work part time two weeks after surgery, and full time this week.
