SeBroker, one of Spain’s leading independent financial firms, opened the NYSE Euronext cash market in Paris this morning to celebrate becoming a member of NYSE Arca Europe. The Barcelona-based brokerage house plans to significantly increase its trading operations and strengthen its geographic footprint across Europe by becoming NYSE Arca Europe’s first Spanish and Portuguese member.
The sign-up of its first Iberian member is a significant development for NYSE Arca Europe, the pan-European MTF offering low-latency access to blue-chip stocks from 11 European countries. Leveraging NYSE Euronext’s strong client base and cross-border basis in Europe, the MTF aims to attract High Frequency Traders’ (HFTs) order flow, as well as liquidity sourced from local brokers across Europe. SeBroker will help NYSE Arca Europe expand its order flow in the 41 Spanish stocks that are available on the platform and will also increase NYSE Arca Europe’s order book diversity.
