Schroders Investment Management Australia Limited (Schroders) and Link Market Services (Link) have today joined the ASX mFund Settlement Service. These additions take the number of partners connected to mFund to 12 issuers, representing 86 funds and 24 fund managers, 10 registrar service providers and 11 distributors.
Schroders has added eight funds across a range of asset classes and country exposures. With over 50 years’ investment experience in Australia, Schroders manages around $571.6 billion in Australian and international equities, fixed income and multi-asset portfolios on behalf of institutional and retail investors globally.
Marcus Christoe, Senior Manager Funds and Investment Products at ASX, said the mFund service continues to attract high calibre industry participants, increasing the depth and breadth of the product offering available to direct investors and advisers.
“As requests for easily accessible, cost-effective solutions to the issues of diversification and portfolio construction grow, ASX is pleased to work alongside our mFund members to deliver an increasing range of options. Notable is the emerging strong demand from both independent and aligned dealer groups who are looking to provide investment solutions which meet the needs of the self-directed SMSF market”, he said.
Link joins as an ASX participant to provide connectivity to mFund as a funds unit registry and settlement participant. Link is a leading provider of registry and financial services in Australia and New Zealand, managing over 10 million account records and over 1,000 ASX securities.
Mr Christoe added: “With Schroders now connected, ASX looks forward to Link providing registry connectivity for other fund managers seeking to join the mFund service.”
