Sao Paulo Stock Exchange After-Market

The São Paulo Stock Exchange recently launched the After-Market - trading after regular trading hours. The objective of this new trading session is to expand business opportunities by offering investors a more flexible time schedule and increased convenience. The After-Market's hours for cash market trading exclusively via BOVESPA'S electronic trading system run from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Therefore, all the investor has to do is contact the Bovespa member firm he trades through during regular trading hours (from 10:00 am to 5:15 pm) to carry out the desired trading operations. The After-Market has specific characteristics, in that trading only involves stocks whose base price was established during the regular trading hours on that same day and the maximum variation allowed for such prices - whether positive or negative - corresponds to 2% in relation to the closing price at the end of the regular trading period. Stock quotations during After-Market trading will be announced every day on BOVESPA's site, after the end of the related trading session.
