Sanofi-Syntholabo SA (ADR) Acquisition Of Aventis S.A. (ADR) In The S&P ADR Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make changes in the S&P ADR Indices effective the close of trading on August 19, 2004
  • Aventis S.A. (ADR) (France, NYSE: AVE, CUSIP: 053561106, Sedol: 2734761) will be excluded from the S&P ADR Index following the successful acquisition of Aventis by Sanofi-Synthelabo SA. Simultaneously, the shares of Sanofi-Synthelabo SA (ADR) (France, NYSE: SNY, CUSIP: 80105N105, Sedol: 2964557) in the S&P ADR Indices will increase by 1,286,017,422 to 2,748,900,914. The IWF will change to 0.7. As a result of the acquisition, Sanofi-Syntholabo SA will become Sanofi-Aventis SA.
