S&P Emerging Markets Database Index Announcements: Indonesia – IWF Change For PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (Eff. 05/27/2004) - Thailand – TPI Polene Share Increase (Eff. 05/27/2004)

Effective May 27, 2004, S&P EMDB will increase the IWF for PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (S&P/EMDB Code 536520.1 / SEDOL 6454861), an S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG Index constituent, from 0.0796 to 0.2183. The new IWF reflects the new holdings structure after the government of Indonesia sold its entire stake in the company. If the above IWF change had occurred on May 12, 2004, the weight of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa in the S&P/IFCI Indonesia Index would have increased to 1.21% from 0.44%.

Effective May 27, 2004, S&P/EMDB will increase the number of shares outstanding for TPI Polene Ltd (EMDB Code 578560.1/SEDOL 6869056), an S&P/IFCG and S&P/IFCI index constituent, by 300 million via a new issue, following a public offering. The IWF of the stock will remain 0.24. If the above share increase had occurred on May 12, 2004, the weight of TPI Polene in the S&P/IFCI Thailand Index would have increased to 0.8% from 0.5%.
