S&P Emerging Markets Database Index Announcement: Malaysia: Share Increase And IWF Change For Renong Bhd (Eff. 07/24/2003)

Effective July 24, 2003, S&P/EMDB will increase the number of shares outstanding for Renong Bhd. (EMDB Code 548674.1/SEDOL 6732374), an S&P/IFCG and S&P/IFCI index constituent, by 800 million via a new issue and decrease the IWF to 0.3527. The share increase and IWF change result from a private placement of 800 million shares to Renong's corporate shareholder. This index neutral event will cause no change in the weight of Renong Bhd in S&P/IFCG and S&P/IFCI indices.
