S&P Emerging Markets Database Index Announcement: Korea - Hyundai Engineering & Construction Share Increase (Effective 05/06/2004)

S&P EMDB will increase the number of shares outstanding for Hyundai Engineering & Construction (SPID 542460.1/ Sedol 6450988), and S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG Index constituent, by 53.1306 million shares effective May 6, 2004. The share increase reflects the exercise of convertible bonds. Had the share increase occurred on April 21, 2004, the S&P/IFCI market weight of Hyundai Engineering and Construction would have increased to 0.34% from 0.17%.
