S&P/EMDB will increase the number of shares outstanding for China Telecom Corp Ltd. (EMDB Code 520143.1 / SEDOL 6559335), a constituent of the S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG China Indices, by 5850 million via a new issue effective June 4, 2004, following the company’s recent offering of H class of shares.
