Samer Iskandar Appointed Director, Head Of Corporate Communications Of Euronext N.V.

Samer Iskandar has been appointed Director, head of Corporate Communications, of Euronext NV. Samer will define and conduct the group's communication strategy towards the media, and will be a member of the Executive Committee of Euronext NV. He will be in charge of the press offices of Euronext in Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris, as well as those of exchanges that might be absorbed by Euronext in the future.

Reporting to the CEO of Euronext, Samer will also coordinate the group's corporate communication policy, in straight liaison with the heads of Marketing, Investor Relations and International Projects.

Samer, 34, graduated from the London School of Economics, with a Bachelor of Science (Economics), in 1989. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from ESCP-EAP, the Paris-based business school.

Before joining Euronext NV, Samer was a journalist with the Financial Times for six years. During this period, he reported on International Capital Markets from London, European competition policy and the single market at the European Commission in Brussels, and the French financial services industry and corporate governance in Paris. (Samer was also editor of Connectis, the Financial Times Group's monthly e-business magazine). He was also a senior financial reporter at L'Agefi, the French business daily, from 1992 to 1994.

Samer was previously a bond analyst and fund manager in the BNP group in Paris."
