"Salute To The Israeli Industry" - Dr. Ron Tomer, President Of The Manufacturers Association Of Israel, Opened The Trading Bell At Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Celebrating The Achievements Of Israeli Industry

Date 09/01/2025

Dr. Ron Tomer, President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, opened trading this morning alongside TASE CEO, Ittai Ben Zeev, in honor to Israeli industry.

The ceremony was followed by the "From War to Growth" conference, bringing together executives from diverse sectors of Israeli industry and the Israeli capital market. The representatives of the companies partaking in the conference enjoyed lectures on the benefits of going public, equity and debt raising on TASE, and essential insights into the process of becoming a public company.

President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, Dr. Ron Tomer, said: "I wish to thank TASE for hosting us in this Opening Bell Ceremony that is a tribute to Israeli industry. During my five years in office, the industrial sector has weathered countless severe crises—ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to the current war. Yet, time and again, we have demonstrated the extraordinary resilience and adaptability of our industry. Israeli industry is agile, quick to adjust to changing circumstances, and steadfast in its commitment to producing and operating despite disruption. Even during the toughest times, our shelves remained stocked. Foreign clients often tell me they have never witnessed anything comparable, nor could they have overcome the challenges we faced. The figures speak volumes: our industry now generates over NIS 0.5 trillion annually, employs close to half a million individuals, and has achieved a 1.5% increase in GDP. Nonetheless, significant challenges remain, including labor shortages and the need for financing to support anticipated growth. This is where TASE plays a vital role, by helping us advance innovative financing solutions for Israeli industry. We also have opportunities ahead. We have had a tough year, but I am optimistic that our future growth rate will continue to increase steadily. The Government of Israel is still not doing enough to foster growth, but it will happen.”

Ittai Ben-Zeev, CEO of TASE, said: "The data indices of the past year on TASE reflects the resilience of the Israeli economy, despite the difficult and complex year we've experienced. The industry sector companies play an important and central role in these achievements and this resilience, and we are pleased to salute the Israeli industry today. We are at the beginning of a new era, which will bring opportunities for the economy and local industry, and it's important that companies are exposed to all the possibilities that will help them continue to grow and develop."
