Salter New Media and The Toronto Stock Exchange Announce Broadcasting of Quarterly Earnings Calls on the Internet

Salter New Media and the Toronto Stock Exchange have announced a program to broadcast quarterly earnings conference calls of TSE-listed companies over the Internet. This service, Q1234.com, will record and broadcast conference calls, previously available only to analysts, institutional investors and select members of the media. The Toronto Stock Exchange encourages the use of electronic media to Inform the investing public. "Our recent electronic communications guidelines help TSE-listed companies maximize the power of new technologies, while following sound disclosure practices," said John Carson, the TSE Senior Vice President of Market Regulation. "Through this pilot webcasting service, we're helping companies to enable retail investors to hear precisely the same discussions as investment professionals - and at exactly the same time, " Mr. Carson explained. Q1234.com is available to TSE listed companies as an optional service free-of-charge. Initially, S&P/TSE 60® companies will be invited to participate. The service is designed to complement a company's existing conference call arrangements. The public can listen to the live calls on Salter New Media's web site at www.Q1234.com. Q1234.com will also archive the conference call recordings, building a lasting library for investors researching the performance of TSE companies.
