Russian Trading System: Futures Contract On The US Dollar To Start Trading On December 2nd

As of December 2, 2002, a new derivative instrument, a futures contract on the US dollar, will start trading on the RTS Stock Exchange. The decision to introduce a new product was made by the RTS Derivatives Market Committee on November 21st, 2002.

The RTS Board of Directors at its next meeting will discuss the exchange fees related to the new contract. The RTS Derivatives Market Committee recommends that each party to the trade is charges the registration fee of 0.5 rubles, including VAT. Registering a trade that will lead to opening (closing) a position that was previously closed (open) during that trading session will be free of charge. Transaction charge is set at 1 ruble per position, including VAT.
