RTS volumes plunged 60 per cent in October over September as the domestic benchmark fell under pressure from bearish trends on international and commodity markets.
Total RTS Exchange and OTC market activity dropped to $12, 397 million with the leading RTS Index falling 36.18 per cent during October to 773.37 points.
Derivatives activity on Futures and Options on RTS (FORTS) during October also decreased, with futures volume down 31.30 per cent to 13 million contracts.
International _rms were prominent during the month, with Deutsche Securities and UBS Securities listed as third and fourth largest brokers on the RTS Classic market.
