At its April 1st, 2004, meeting the RTS Board of Directors has decided to rename the RTS Technical Index into the "RTS Current Quotes Index", effective April 13th, 2004. This decision will help separate the RTS Technical Index from the family of 'Technical Indices" that the exchange is required to calculate in accordance with the Statute on Securities Market Trading as of December 26th, 2003 in order to halt trading if necessary.
The RTS Technical Index has been calculated from 1998, on one-minute intervals.
The RTS Board of Directors also decided to stop, as of April 13th, 2004, calculating the 'Average Weighted Bid' parameter, that has been calculated based on the Decree #14 signed on May 25th, 1998. On January 1st, 2004, the Exchange has been calculating the "Recognized Quote" parameter.
