Most of the positive impact on the Index dynamics was related to the growing prices for Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (plus 22,25 points), ordinary shares of OJSC "OC "Rosneft" (ROSN) (plus 15,32 points) and ОАО "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) (plus 9,99 points).
The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 showed a slight growth of 0,004% to reach 554,35 points (554,33 points as of November 21st, 2008). Last week most of the key economy sectors represented on the Russian Stock Market closed in the green. The major positive contributor was the power sector, the corresponding index increased by 21,23%. Significant growth was registered in the oil & gas sector, with the corresponding index gaining 16,91%. The main loser was the industrials sector. The RTSI – Industrials went down by 7,84%.
