RTS Stock Market Weekly Trading Results: May 25

Over the week of May 25 – May 29, 2009 RTS Index went up by 7.32% to reach 1 087.59 ( 1 0 1 3.37 points as of May 22, 2009). Most of the positive impact on the Index dynamics was related to the ordinary shares of Sberbank (SBER) (plus 1 7.24 points), OJSC "OC Rosneft ordinary shares (ROSN) (plus 1 4.43 points), ОАО "LUKOIL" (LKOH) ordinary shares (plus 6.24 points).

The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 went up by 7.79% to reach 857.80 points (795.80 as of May 22, 2009). Last week all the key economy sectors represented on the Russian stock market showed a positive trend. The largest rise was demonstrated by the electric utilities sector: RTS Index – Electric utilities rose by 1 2.07%. Significant increase was registered in the finance, with the corresponding index going up by 8.07%. The smallest growth was shown by the telecommunications sector. The RTS Index - Telecom went up by 0.27%.

The week's top sellers were Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) with a turnover of $286,835 million followed Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) with a turnover of $233,928 million and ordinary shares of ОАО "LUKOIL" (LKOH) with a turnover of $54,230 million. The share of each security in the total trading volume made up 40,92%, 33,37% and 7,74% respectively.

The week's top gainers were ordinary shares of JSC "СhTRP" (CHEP) that rose in price by 8 1 ,82% to $2.0, followed by ordinary shares of JGC "TGC-4" (TGKD)– by 70,00% to $0,00034 and IDGC of Center and Volga Region, JSC ordinary shares (MRKP)– by 46.0% to $0,005 1 .

The week's top losers were ordinary shares of OJSC "Rostelecom" (RTKM) PIK Group (PIKK) that fell in price by 24.69% to reach $6. 1 , ordinary shares of PIK Group (PIKK) that fell by 1 4.2 1 % to reach $ 1 .63 and privileged shares of OJSC "VolgaTelecom" (NNSIP) that fell by 6.25% to reach $0.75.
