Over the week of June 22 – June 26, 2009, the RTS Index went down by 5.53% to reach 955.45 points (1,011.38 points as of June 19, 2009). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 10.37 points), ordinary shares of ОАО "LUKOIL" (LKOH) (minus 9.03 points) and ordinary shares of OJSC "OC "Rosneft" (ROSN) (minus 5.62 points).
The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 decreased by 3.65% to reach 862.70 points (895.36 points as of June 19, 2009). Last week all the economy sectors represented on the Russian stock market showed a negative trend. The largest decline was demonstrated by the industrial sector, with the RTSI – Industrial losing 7.62%. Significant decrease was registered in the power sector, with the RTSI – Electric Utilities shedding7.08%. The slightest decline was shown by the consumer & retail sector. The RTSI – Consumer & Retail went down by 3.48%.

The total trading volume on RTS for the week June 22 – June 26, 2009 equaled USD6.0 billion (188.1 billion roubles*), including all types of trades. The trading volume on RTS Standard totaled USD906.5 million.
The week's top sellers were Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) with a turnover of USD620.185 million followed by Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) with a turnover of USD163.882 million and privileged shares of Sberbank (SBERP) with a turnover of USD34.007 million. The share of each security in the total trading volume made up 64.30%, 16.99% and 3.53% respectively.
The week's top gainers were ordinary shares of Sinarsky Tube Works (SNTZ) that went up by 37.14% to USD48.0, followed by ordinary shares of MASHINOSTROITELNY ZAVOD (MASZ) – by 11.36% to USD98.0 and ordinary shares of Ufaneftekhim (UFNC) – by 7.39% to USD2.47.
The week's top losers were ordinary shares of JSC "The Seventh Continent" (SCON) that fell in price by 23.81% to reach USD8.0 followed by privileged shares of Transneft (TRNFP) – by 21.26% to USD500.0 and ordinary shares of JSC "OGK-6" (OGKF) – by 20.45% to USD0.0175.
