In April 2005 total trading volume on the JSC "RTS Stock Exchange" increased by 5.3 times and reached 14 931 million rubles compared with 2 788 million rubles in March. The second-tier stock turnover equaled 6 847 million rubles, 46% of the total trading volume.

The most popular second-tier stocks were "Avtovaz" common stock (25.73% of the total trading volume), "Rosbusinessconsulting" common stock (16.46%), "Orenburgneft" preferred stock (0.36%), "Uralzvyazinform" common stock (0.28%), and "North-WesternTelecom" common stock (0.24%).
