RTS Stock Exchange Money: February 2004 Market Data

In February 2004 total trading volume on the RTS Money, the FOREX market of the RTS Stock Exchange, increased by 66,9% compared to January, and by 128,4% compared to the last three months of December 2003, and reached 929.2 million US dollars.

RTS Money is a joint project of the RTS Stock Exchange and PRBT (Broker Technology Development Project) company to develop inter-bank currency trading. The system combines the most up-to-date electronic trading technologies, high liquidity provided by market-makers telephone broker support with modern settlement infrastructure provided by the RTS Settlement Chamber. Market participants can trade the most liquid instruments of Russian financial markets. Currently 21 banks, including one foreign bank, trade on the RTS Market.
