RTS: Share Of EAC Processed Trades Grew By 21% In The 1st Half Of The Year

In the first 6 months of the year 98% of all the trades executed in the RTS Trading System were processed through the RTS Electronic Agreements Center. If compared to 77% in the 2nd half of 2000, the share of trades processed through the RTS EAC increased by 21%. All in all 38 507 P&S agreements out of the total 39 312 agreements made by the RTS participants were processed in the RTS Electronic Agreements Center (RTS EAC).

The RTS Electronic Agreements Center, launched in June 1999, is a system application for PSAs instant compilation and delivery via the channels of the RTS Electronic Document Interchange system. All agreements are safely protected from forgery and misprints with a digital signature and are instantly delivered to the addressee.

The RTS EAC enables trade participants process agreements both for trades executed in the RTS Trading System and for those executed on other trading floors.

In the present day 117 investment companies and banks or 75% of all RTS trade participants operate the RTS Electronic Agreements Center.
