On November 1, 2011 futures contracts on the average power price index in the Center hub (ECBM-10.11 and ECPM-10.11), Ural hub (EUBM-10.11 and EUPM-10.11), Western Siberia hub (SWBM-10.11) and Eastern Siberia hub (SEBM-10.11) were settled.
In accordance with the contracts’ specifications the following final settlement prices were calculated:
ECBM-10.11 – 925,52 RUB/MWh
ECPM-10.11 – 1073,52 RUB/MWh
EUBM-10.11 – 905,47 RUB/MWh
EUРM-10.11 – 1002,44 RUB/MWh
SEBM-10.11 – 510,55 RUB/MWh
SWBM-10.11 – 595,92 RUB/MWh
The final settlement price is computed in accordance with the contract’s specifications based on the arithmetical mean of all values of the underlying power prices index that were published by the Moscow Energy Exchange for the period October 1st to 31st, 2011.
The below positions were settled for the following amounts:
ECBM-10.11 – 48 contracts for RUB3.303 million
ECPM-10.11 – 338 contracts for RUB9.910 million
EUBM-10.11 – 208 contracts for RUB14.005 million
EUРM-10.11 – 368 contracts for RUB10.066 million
SEBM-10.11 – 2 contracts for RUB0.076 million
SWBM-10.11 – 2 contracts for RUB0.089 million
During the lifetime of the September power futures 3,044 trades representing 76,479 contracts were executed. Out of this number 966 contracts were held until expiry and were settled for a total of RUB37 million.
