The Nasdaq Stock MarketĀ® announced that Adrian Nastase, Prime Minister of Romania, opened the market this morning at a ceremony at the Nasdaq MarketsiteSM in Times Square.
Wick Simmons, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tthe Nasdaq Stock Market, who hosted the event said, "We are honored to welcome Prime Minister Nastase to the MarketSite today. Prime Minister Nastase's visit is being held in conjunction with the largest Romanian-American economic mission ever to be held in the United States. Organized by MIC & Associates, with support from US Securities and Futures Corporation, leaders from over 30 top Romanian enterprises representing a wide cross-section of industry are visiting the U.S. to develop investments, trade and commerce between Romania and the United States.
