“Roger Hollingsworth brings with him a solid appreciation of the issues affecting investors, the markets, and the industry, and an excellent understanding of the legislative process,” said Marc E. Lackritz, SIA president. “We look forward to having him on our staff.”
On Capitol Hill, Hollingsworth worked extensively on legislation related to the financial services industry. He was directly involved with Senate efforts on securities arbitration, Securities and Exchange Commission fees, mutual-fund fees, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, and Sarbanes-Oxley.<
“We are excited to have Roger joining SIA’s government affairs team,” said Steve Judge, SIA senior vice president, government affairs. “His knowledge and experience make him a great asset for SIA.” Judge added that Hollingsworth’s primary assignment with SIA will be to manage issues before the Senate Banking and Finance Committees for the association.
Hollingsworth earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications, with a minor in finance, from the State University of New York at Albany.
