ROFEX US Dollar Futures Record

The Market’s Financial Derivatives Division closed a day of strong activity in which US dollar futures reached a new record.

At the end of today’s trading session, 460 million dollars were traded in US dollar futures, representing a total of 463,490 contracts. In this way, Rofex reached a new record in financial derivatives.

Traded volume surpassed by 19,416 contracts the previous historical record reached on December 16, 2005, the date on which payment to the IMF was announced, when Rofex´s Financial Derivatives Division (DDF) registered 444,074 contracts.

As regards quotations, at today’s close and talking about closer positions, April 2008 US dollar fixed at $3.1740 and May 2008 US dollar at $3.1830, with increases of 0.13% and 0.19%, respectively. On the other hand, BCRA reference price was of $3.1692.
