In November, Rofex reached an important trading level in its Agricultural Derivatives Division (DDA), already surpassing the traded volume annual record.
With a total of 6,175,650 tonnes traded, 2007 became the year with the greatest activity in Rofex´s Agricultural Derivatives Division. With 224,868 contracts traded from year to date, this mark surpassed the previous annual record reached in the year 2001.
In November, the monthly volume of agricultural products closed with a total of 26,530 contracts, positioning itself as the best third month in ROFEX DDA history and showing a strong increase of 122% from the same month of 2006.
Likewise, on Thursday 29 November, the Open Interest historical record was surpassed in the two divisions of the Exchange, with a total of 1,357,711 open contracts at the end of the trading session.
Considering the number of tonnes traded, Rofex is getting closer to its annual objective for the agricultural derivatives division: to surpass 7,000,000 tonnes in 2007.
