STOXX Limited, the leading provider of European equity indexes, today announced that Ricardo Manrique has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
In his new position, Mr. Manrique will identify strategic business initiatives, develop new licensing opportunities, and position the Dow Jones STOXX Indexes strategically. He will furthermore be responsible for planning and the day-to-day management of STOXX Limited.
“Ricardo’s great experience in index development, structured products, and the derivatives marketplace will be an immense advantage for STOXX Limited,” said Werner Bürki, chairman, STOXX supervisory board. “Having worked with him before, we know that he is a valuable asset to our team and we are confident that he will further strengthen STOXX’ success.”
Mr. Manrique has extensive experience with index products and derivatives. Most recently Mr. Manrique was responsible for Latin American derivatives sales & structuring at Standard Bank Plc. Prior to joining Standard Bank, Mr. Manrique spent ten years in various derivatives and indexing positions at leading investment banks such as JP Morgan, STOXX Limited and Dow Jones Indexes. At STOXX, Mr. Manrique was responsible for index operations and product development.
Mr. Manrique holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a master of business administration from Columbia Business School.
