Rexam PLC Will Replace Telecom Italia Mobile SPA, Telecom Italia SPA Shares And IWF Change And Valeo SA shares Change In The S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Europe Plus, S&P Euro and S&P United Kingdom Indices effective at the close of trading Wednesday, June 29, 2005:
  • Rexam PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL 0425045, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15103010) will replace Telecom Italia Mobile SPA (Italy, SEDOL 4876746) in the S&P Europe 350 index and will be added in the S&P United Kingdom index, after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Telecom Italia Mobile SPA is being deleted from the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices following the completion of the company’s merger with Telecom Italia SPA.

    Rexam PLC, headquartered in the United Kingdom, manufactures and distributes packaging materials. The number of shares outstanding is 551,808,112 and the Investable Weight Factor will be 1. The company will be added to the S&P Europe 350 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Metal & Glass Containers sub-industry.

  • Telecom Italia SPA (Italy, SEDOL: 7634394, GICS: Telecommunication Services, GICS Code: 50101020), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices shares will increase to 13,369,041,170 and IWF will change to 0.817. The change is the result of the company’s merger with Telecom Italia Mobile SPA.
  • Valeo SA (France, SEDOL: 4937579, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25101010) a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will decrease to 77,483,626. This is following the company’s buyback, and subsequent cancellation, of ordinary shares.
