Reinhold Röhrig To Take Over As Sole Chief Executive Of DGAP

Date 15/10/2001

Effective January 1, 2002, Reinhold Röhrig (56) will take charge as sole chief executive of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ad-Hoc-Publizität mbH (DGAP). His predecessor and co-chief executive Peer Oliver Schumann is leaving the firm of his own accord as of December 31, 2001 and wants to devote himself to new tasks in the future. Röhrig, a banker by profession, has been chief executive of DGAP since the middle of the year. He came from Reuters, where he was Markets Manager Germany responsible for Content in the equities segment and Relationship Management with the exchanges. He has been associated with DGAP since its founding in 1995 and actively supported the company's development on its advisory board until moving into the executive management.

DGAP is the central news service for information on exchange-listed companies that is relevant for the financial markets. On behalf of currently some 1,000 companies, DGAP disseminates price-sensitive news and information that is relevant for the capital markets to supervisory authorities and exchanges in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as worldwide to the most important information dissemination systems such as news agencies, TV broadcasters and Internet portals.

DGAP thus supports exchange-listed companies as a service provider in meeting their legally required disclosure obligations and makes the corporate data accessible promptly and simultaneously to a broad public. It thus functions as an interface between companies and the financial market. DGAP is owned and operated by Deutsche Börse, Reuters and vwd.
