In October 2021, the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) received a request from the European Commission to carry out a scoping exercise for the development of harmonised rules regarding demand side flexibility, including rules on aggregation, energy storage and demand curtailment.
In this online workshop, ACER will present the ongoing work of scoping, focusing on those topics that have been discussed in the dedicated Expert Group.
ACER will also seek inputs from relevant stakeholders to define which topics are of highest priority for the establishment of a new European framework on demand side flexibility.
