Real-Time FTSE European And UK Indices To Be Calculated From 0800

In order to reflect the move towards the harmonisation of market hours by a number of European Exchange's, FTSE International today announces that, from 20 September 1999, the calculation of the real-time FTSE European and FTSE UK Indices will commence at 08.00 London time. The close of the real-time FTSE European and UK Indices will remain at 16.30. Since the official opening time for the FTSE European and FTSE UK real-time indices will be one hour earlier at 08.00, it has been decided to cease the pre market calculations for these indices, which were available from 08.30 and 08.50 respectively, also from 20 September 1999.
