The Copenhagen Stock Exchange now supplies real-time prices on all listed
shares via SMS. The price per SMS is still DKK 4 plus ordinary SMS
charges. The Exchange introduced its SMS service just six weeks ago and
promised at that time to develop new and better services on an ongoing basis.
Until now the prices were delayed by 15 minutes, and they are now in real
time. The new information supplied to mobile phone owners via SMS at a
delay of 15 minutes include the following:
- Company announcements - the 4 latest headlines
- Top 5 and Bottom 5 - shares
- Index information, KFX, MidCap+, SmallCap+, KBX
- Searching using short name
E-business manager Anders Noltensmeier commented: "The equity market
has had a flying start this year, and also the private investors have been very
active. We are therefore happy that we may already offer the investors and
especially the private investors quick and easy access to share prices in real
time. The investors also feel more secure when they can get up-to-the-minute
share prices no matter where they are in Denmark. Our focus area is still to
establish better terms on the equity market in general and to support the
Danish share culture. The new possibilities offered by our SMS service is yet
another step in the right direction."
