Readout From A Treasury Spokesperson On Secretary Mnuchin’s Meeting With Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Finance Minister Of Saudia Arabia

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan of Saudi Arabia, a follow up to their meeting in Washington earlier this week. During their meeting, Secretary Mnuchin underscored the close and productive relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia and expressed support for continuing the partnership between the two nations.

The Secretary and Minister also discussed the Gulf Cooperation Council – U.S. Economic Dialogue and efforts to diversify the Saudi Arabian economy. The Secretary thanked the Minister for his continued leadership in the Gulf on countering the financing of terrorism against a range of groups including ISIS, Hezbollah and al-Qa'ida.
