U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin spoke by phone today with Canadian Minister of Finance Bill Morneau.
Secretary Mnuchin highlighted the deep, close relationship between the United States and Canada, as well as the millions of American and Canadian middle-class jobs that depend on our economic and trade partnership. The Secretary underscored the importance of cooperation to promote economic growth and advance free and fair trade, and noted the action by the Trump Administration on the Keystone XL pipeline. They agreed to continue close collaboration on combatting common national security threats.
